The DBR Herstory Collection contains material about the history of DBR and the herstories of women who have resided in the park. We are women who have come from diverse pasts with our own strengths, needs, trials, accomplishments, values and desires. DBR is a women’s community, a tapestry woven by all of us over the years.

Long ago and far, far away (Nebraska), my Grandfather Dolph purchased a funeral home in Omaha and promptly sent his three youngest sons off to school to become morticians. Thus I was born in Berkeley, California while my father, James, was attending the School of Mortuary Science in San Francisco after WWII.
