The Web Team is responsible for developing and maintaining a website which serves the interests of DBR residents. The purpose of the site, as we have currently defined it, is to "Provide DBR residents with complete and accurate schedule information, convenient access to our important documents, and other essential reference material regarding life in the park."
Note that there are two levels of access to the website:
- member - for RV Members and Social Members - full access.
- guest - for short-term renters and guests - access to everything except Board business, financial documents and resident directories.

What this group does
These are some of the projects we've been working on recently:
Modified website accounts to reflect the changes to our organizational structure. Both RV and social members now have full access, and guests can see everything except BOD reports, financial documents, and resident directories.
Revamped the Facilities section, with the goal of creating a comprehensive resource that communicates the advice we to give one another about the resources we have here in the park, and how we'd like people to use them.
A proactive initiative to encourage members to subscribe to our Calendar, so they're able to access the park schedule on their phones.
We're currently taking a look at how we can better manage all of the Documents we publish, to make sure the versions you see here are up to date.
We're also working with the Committees, to help each group update the information they want to publish for the rest of the community.

The three documents below are excerpts from the classic book on web usability, "Don't Make Me Think", by Steve Krug. Together they comprise a chapter called "Street Signs and Breadcrumbs", which is about the importance of creating a well-organized site with consistent navigation.
We include these documents to offer a peek into how we think about those things, and to show why it might be harder than you think to find a place for that cool, random, one-off thing you'd like us to post.
