What is this?

Garbage pickup is available for items that cannot be recycled, and our park staff hauls away yard waste.

What's available?

• A dumpster at the top of the park, near the Office
• A dumpster on West Street, near the Lower restrooms.
• A yard waste trailer, located at top of the park, near the Storage sheds

Tips and requests

Garbage

The dumpsters are emptied on Tuesday mornings. If you have something large to dispose of, please wait until the day before garbage collection, so others will have enough room for their trash during the week.

Garbage should be bagged and tied before placing in the dumpsters.

If items don’t fit with the lid closed, you must take these items to the local dump. Nothing left outside of the containers will be collected.

Yard debris

Weeds and other compostable yard waste go in the yard debris trailer. No kitchen scraps. Please don't throw this material in the forest because it's hard on the trees.

Hazardous waste

If you have hazardous substances, such as oil, gasoline, antifreeze, paint, pesticides, herbicides, treated wood etc., please refer to the A-Z Disposal Info list about how and where to dispose of various kinds of items in Jefferson County.
